FAQ's

What is the difference between 'standard' and 'professional' writing?

At Copify, we assess all of our writers depending on their experience and the quality of their writing. Based on this, we assign them either 'standard' or 'professional' status. Standard writers will be those who are capable of at the very least creating relevant copy with high standards of spelling, punctuation and grammar.

Our more experienced 'professional' writers will have a history of producing highly engaging copy and be comfortable at writing for challenging briefs. Professional writers are usually educated to degree standard and many have marketing agency, PR or journalism experience.

What is a brief?

The brief is the most important part of a job order. This tells the writer exactly what is required of the content and it is essential that the publishes is as specific as possible in order to avoid any confusion. For more information on how to write a brief, read our Guide to a Good Brief.

How do I add funds to my account?

This can be done by PayPal, which means you must first deposit funds into your PayPal account. Funds can be withdrawn at any time.

How do I place an order?

You can place an order by selecting 'post a job' in the top navigation and filling in an order form.

What happens when I place an order?

When you place an order, the cost of the job is deducted from your account balance and is made available to all authors who are eligible to accept it.

What happens when the job is complete?

When the job has been completed, you will be notified by email and be able to review the copy in the control panel on the site. You can then either accept the copy, or request any amendments you require.

What happens if I am not happy with a completed job?

At Copify, we work hard to ensure that our authors are of a high standard, meaning that we have a high rate of job approval.

If, however, you feel that your copy does not match up to your brief, then you can ask for the copy to be edited, by using the messaging system in the Control Panel.

If, having requested an edit, you are still unhappy, then you will be able to make a complaint by emailing help@copify.com with the job title and the reason . A member of our team will then assess your complaint, and if it is felt that you have just cause in rejecting the copy, then the cost of the job will be refunded to you.

Please note, unless the job does not match up to your brief then your complaint will not be upheld, so it is important to be as detailed as possible in your requirements when posting a job.

The deadline I specified has passed, what should I do?

When a writer accepts a job, they do so in the knowledge that if they fail to submit the copy by the specified deadline without valid reason, their writer status will be revoked. In the unlikely event that your jobs is not completed on time, you can either message the writer to request that the copy be delivered as soon as possible, or resubmit the job to the pool of writers free of charge.

Who owns the copyright of the finished work?

The writers on Copify assign all copyright of the finished work to the client during the handover process. All copy you pay for on Copify is yours, and copyright is retained by you. See our Terms and Conditions for full details
